A/N: I hope you don't mind that I wrote this poem. I was just thinking about that whole devil-thing when I learned my text for a recitation of „Mephistopheles“ (a character of Goethe's drama „Faust“)...so here it goes...please leave some review...

Devil‘s Whisper

I walked through the ashes

A thousand years and more

Felt the smooth dust on my skin

The depth of hatred, hunger, pain

The more I fought it

The more it became a part of me

Like a second layer

Of a rotten onion.

The lights that I saw

When I opened my eyes

Should never be as bright as before

Nor should they reflect the colourful world

Surrounding me once

Instead I find myself dancing in shadows

Walking an endless, empty road

Like a lethal injection I crawl through your venes.

Your death is my rebirth

For your soul feeds my never sated hunger

And my cold hand reaches out

To touch your innocent heart

To pull it down like mine, it should just vanish

And turn into stone

When I‘ll take my revenge

You will never look at this perfect blue sky again.

The night is my shelter, my silent companion

Damned to be blind

To torture the living as well as the dead

I rest here in my place

Deep down, beyond your belief

In fires, so cold that they‘ll burn and freeze you alive

Call me the fallen angel, a lost son of God

Even without a name I‘ll cause you to shiver…
