I wrote a strange poem
In my black notebook
I closed the book, put it in the drawer
Then realised I wanted to write more

I went to the drawer
And attempted to pull
It was jammed, stuck, caught
All night with that drawer I fought

In the morning I cried
I prayed for a miracle
My writing pens began to mock me
I sat there bored and unhappy

I tried to cut into the drawer
Of course it didn't work
Until my mum came along with a fish slice
Which was an odd yet effective device

It opened the drawer with a slide
And I smiled with pleasure and relief
'YEY' I gasped with sheer delight
Now I could finally happily write
