Frozen Midnight

A chilly expanse of blackness,
Beauty marred by ice.
Expressive eyes see simple truths,
They turn the day to night.

Limitless imagination,
Creating blackened worlds.
Dark is simple beauty,
Intricate as snow.

Hidden within shadows,
Lost among the crowd.
Knowledge is my power,
Within a world of clouded minds.

I walk where few would dare,
Dreaming dreams that can shatter reality.
My mind alone can give me hope,
Its darkness is my home.

I live within a world of fear,
A nightmare that I can't escape.
I belong in darkness,
I am the icy night.

I have died a thousand deaths,
Lived a million lives,
Through all this time I've stood my ground,
Hidden from the light.

Well, what do you think? I've been rolling the idea for a poem about myself for a while now and I finally got around to writing it. Some of you reading this may know that Frozen Midnight is not my real name and are probably wondering why I titled this Frozen Midnight instead of naming it after me. The reason is simply that the person outside of my pen name isn't the real me. The real me is Frozen Midnight, the real me is in these poems and stories. I have thrown my heart and soul into these works, all my pain and joy and sadness are contained within the realm of words. Remember that. ~Frozen Midnight~
