Jesus Christ Our Savior

Author's Notes: I wrote this in seventh grade, one of my first attempts at poetry.

A pinpoint of light in a world of darkness
A grain of hope amidst evil and hatred
You came for me
My Savior, my Lord

In the foul, corrupted hearts of men
You planted a seed of life
And allowed us the gift of Salvation
My Heavenly Father

And in the stead of night
There was day and the sun
Dawning from Your glory and power
My Master, my God

The serpent's head was smashed
The holy cross was raised
You have saved us
Jesus Christ our Savior!
