Nathan watched the football whiz trough the air over his head. He went up for the catch but missed and the ball landed on the ground behind him. His team shouted at him and restated repeatedly how easy that catch was. He hated football. Yet, he was forced to play it during P.E. That class happened to be one of his least favorite classes of the day because of that reason.
He looked up at the sky and hoped a huge dark cloud would come and release rain so that his torment would be over. However, it was a perfectly clear day and his hopes were shattered. Luckily, it ended soon enough and he trudged off the field to the locker room where he quickly took a shower and changed into his school clothes then as soon as the bell rang, he went to math class.
He was a freshman in an advanced math class and he liked it. He paid attention and got an A. It was somewhat boring but it was still okay. As his teacher talked about math, he felt something vibrate in his pocket. It was his cell phone. He raised his hand to go to the bathroom and the teacher denied him. The class drug on and ever few minutes his cell phone would vibrate again. Soon enough the teacher handed out homework and they had about fifteen minutes to do it in class. During this time, he asked again to go to the bathroom and his teacher dismissed him.
He got to the bathroom, ducked into a stall and looked at his phone, which he read, and the words Fifteen Missed Calls looked up at him. He pressed the button to see who it had been and it was all the same person. He called the number and a booming male voice could be heard.
“Nathan, where were you. I called you numerous times and not once did you answer. I was getting worried.”
“I’m very sorry; my math teacher wouldn’t let me answer my phone.”
“Fine. However, we have a mission for you.”
“Let me hear it.”
Nathan had a secret that only a few knew. He was a teenage spy, a group undoubtedly growing in numbers. This is his first case.
