Author’s Note: Lyrics written to ‘Wild Mountain Thyme’ by Lisa Lynne. There are no original lyrics to the song, but these seemed to sing out through the harp and other instruments. I couldn’t help but write them. Hope you like it. I would recommend listening to the song along with it (if you can). It adds to the mood quite a bit.
Make it Mine
Lying ‘neath the growing darkness,
underneath the moon divine.
All I do is sit and think of times gone by,
underneath the stars that shine.
Make it mine, make it mine.
~*~
Underneath the tallest mountain,
underneath the clear blue sky.
Beside the whispering waterfall,
that flows so gently by.
Make it mine, make it mine.
~*~
This kind and soothing gentleness
it carries me to happiness and I;
~*~
And where I go I cannot tell,
but soon I know that there I’ll dwell and I;
~*~
And peace unmatched I know I’ll find,
and troubles ne’er again shall plague my mind,
oh and I;
~*~
They’ve come to take me there I know,
and when I’ve done I’ll surely go and I;
~*~
So when summer turns to fall,
and the winter into spring.
And the flowers bloom once again,
and the meadow birds do sing.
It will be mine, it will be mine.
~*~
Underneath the growing darkness,
underneath the moon divine.
I shall sit and wait the morning.
It is mine, it is mine.
It is mine, it is mine.
It is mine, for it is mine.
