Footsteps of silence are sounding,

Heart of a wild one pounding,

Devious eyes become locked on their prey.

A wingless bird in flight,

A spy displays his might,

As curved knives of slaughter strike down and away.

A pause, a snarl, a snatch,

A hunter slinks off with his catch,

All in the work of a predator’s day.
