Words

If words are a form intoxication

If words moved you to act like a fool

Or rather give an ecstasy for the time in which soon forgotten

Then thus explains my addiction of my words

To write, using words in hopes to move thee

And make you thus forward make you drunk like a fool

That you be a fool to kiss me, but not knowing into morning brings your sorrow

But my lips, and my words, would have fed my addiction everlasting

More fumbling words come from me, not able to stop them from coming

In hopes for you to feel their high, and fumble into my arms yet again, in love

Although secretly I know it’s my words you love, not me

Thus taking away my high of them

Oh break away, forcing myself away from the obsession longing

I say or write more and more in hopes to woe thee too me

To breathe in your sweet perfume, and kiss your tender lips

But without my joy, you lose interest quickly

Then I hear your words, which leads to my events of heartbreak

Words, so bittersweet and so intoxicating
