I slept heavily, but not heavily enough. The angel from the cathedral haunted my dreams and stained my subconscinece with his blood. I began to toss in my sleep for Lucifer had entered my mind. Where had he gone? What had happened to him and was he alright? I still wasn't entirely sure as to what was really going on. But I had learned not to question what I saw when others saw it as well. I trusted Mike to clarify my confusion as time pressed on.

I heard something move outside my sleeping state. I cracked open my lids while the sound of footsteps creaked closer to my bed. I rolled over groggily and felt a shriek rise up in my throat. However, the pale hand of the intruder kept it from escaping.

"Shh, Ana, it's me." He drew his hand back slowly and smiled at me gently. I could tell it was Lu, but different none the less. I knew those eyes from past encounters. Those dark hallow, haunting eyes with the slim blue ring of hope. "Ana, me explain." I remained silent while he took the time to compose himself. "Ana, it's true. I joined back with Satan again. Though this time, it was my choice."

"What?! Why?! Why would you-"

"Ana please! I don't expect you to understand. He needs me."

"He's using you! Can't you see that?" I watched his face grow cold and stern with the essence of hate.

"Don't tell me what I do and do not see. I know when someone needs me. And I know him better than anyone, Ana."

I looked at him with disappointment etched into my face.

"Then why do you look at me so..?" I saw his face unfold the expression of realization though then it reformed itself with that same dark, hateful expression. He backed away from me and I watched him vanish and fade into the folds of the shadows. However I ad more current things to worry about. I clatter from the balcony shook my current state and made Raph pop up from his cot.

"What was that?" Raph spoke to me in a small whisper.

"If I knew I'd tell you...and let me tell you now...I really wish I knew!"

Again a clatter echoed, this time waking Seth, Gabe and Sage, who always told us he "never slept." We all watched the door to the balcony open and lurched when sage rushed forward from practically out of nowhere.

"Polaris!" Half way in the door a brunette with curls to spare fell into Sage's massive arms making her look more frail than she already was. A further inspection showed me that her once white dress was tattered and stained with blood while the once bright star was starting to flicker and fade to a pink scar. Sage said nothing as he picked her up in his arms and carried her to the sofa. I assumed he would watch over her all night while the rest of us slept, knowing answers would come with the rising sun.
