Ah, but what mysteries hail
from this furious, crystalline gale
Is the once-fair December wind
again at fault, and to the Autumn has it sinned?
Aye! For our doubtless shadows fall
Hitting limpid hourglasses dancing, and call
Not dark their shadows, but indigo
in the feature of falling, this pellucid snow

In this winter, where dragons fly free
on our breath, in the bitter wind, in this crystalline sea
There are no shadows hailing dark
But as blue-lighted serpents where they've made their mark
And with our steam-dragon breath, we will watch as they fall
The crystalline snowbells, who dance in this crystalline thrall
To the music that plays through all these bitter trees
May our tears mix together, and together may they freeze
As once we thought our hearts would fuse.
Ah, how wrong, for in these many millions of blues
Our shadows will never fall together again.
And my silenced, blue-shadow will just be the same
As in other past winters.as in all these past games.
