It swallows the humanity from you,
And it is as black as coal.
Loneliness is what every little child fears.
It kills their hopes and dreams,
And creates black tears.
Loneliness is a fatal wound that kills your heart and mind.
It tears your life from you,
And it is never kind.

This is the first poem I've published, and I'm hoping it will be received
well. This is a trial run and I hope you enjoyed this work.
