Little Pete: What's blue?

Joey (pointing to the sky): The sky is blue.

Little Pete: What's the sky?

Joey (looks at Little Pete): The sky is where Mom says God lives. But I think He lives inside us.

Little Pete: What's God?

Joey: God's not a what, He's a who. (Joey stretches out his arms) God is my best friend in the whole world.

Little Pete: What's a friend?

Joey (turns toward Little Pete): A friend is someone who likes you no matter how good or bad you are. Jesus was like that.

Little Pete (looks at Joey with wide eyes): Is Jesus a who, too?

Joey (on his knees facing Little Pete with an excited expression): Yes! In fact Jesus was such a great friend that he was willing to die for the whole world!

Little Pete (on his knees facing Joey, also with an excited expression): Wow!

Joey (with awe):Yeah.

Little Pete: I hope Jesus will be my friend.

Joey (puts an arm around Little Pete): Jesus is everybody's friend.

Little Pete (rests his head on Joey's shoulder): I love Jesus.

Joey (lays his cheek on the top of Little Pete's head): Me, too.

Little Pete: What's green?
