Winter’s Dance
Autumn let out a grateful sigh
For he and his workers must fly
In time for Winter’s Dance.
All scurried away
Quickly that day
In time for Winter’s Dance.
She pranced over the snowy hill;
Behind her feet, white snow spilled,
All in beat to Winter’s Dance.
She waved her hands and smiled
As frost covered the forest wild,
Always in time to her Dance.
Her soft icicle hair
Tossed ice patches here and there;
All part of her merry Dance.
Her sparkling snow dress
Shone less and less
As it spilled crystals in the Dance.
Her work done for the time,
Winter sat, smiled, and sighed;
Proud of her latest Dance.
