Ancient Land of Japan ~*~*~*~ By: LinkGirl
Note: It’s a Time Travel Story! ^_~ ... Yeah!
-----------------------------------------------
“Itaaiiiii,” a black haired girl sat up. “That hurt....”
“Nnn... Damn it! What happened!?” a black haired boy shouted in pain.
The black haired girl, hearing the boy, cried out, “Kunko! Kunko, where are you.”
“Amelia?” the black haired boy heard the high-pitched cry of his cousin, coming from behind a bush. “Ameli-”
“Giiiiee!” Amelia rubbed her head where Kunko’s head had collided with it in a desperate attempt to crawl through the bush to reach her.
“Oowww, since when did you have such a hard head?!” Kunko complained some more.
“It’s just as hard as yours,” Amelia stated opening her eyes.
“Gah, where are we anyway?”
Amelia shrugged, forcing herself up to her feet, and looked around. A few seconds later Amelia’s eyes went wide as she realized she was looking out over rolling fields of crops. Their position seemed to be on a high cliff, which towered high above land.
“I- I think...” she stammered, “I think we’re in...Japan.”
“So?”
“Very old Japan,”
Kunko frowned, “What?” He stood up, not believing Amelia, but froze as saw what lay before him. “Amelia-chan, I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore.”
“You’ve watched the Wizard of OZ?” Amelia questioned curiously, not believing that her cousin would allow himself to watch such a child’s movie.
“Ah, come on,” Kunko grabbed Amelia’s arm and dragged her away from the cliff, though the woods that stood behind them.
Everything stayed silent for a few minutes before Amelia spoke, “Where are we going?”
“To find anyone else.”
“Do you really thing Gemma and the rest will be here?”
Kunko stayed silent unable to answer.
Suddenly there was a noise to their side and both jumped, clinging to each other.
“What was that?!” Kunko’s voice was shaky and unsure.
“I- I don’t k-know!”
“Do... Do ninja’s exist in this time?”
“I couldn’t answer that....” Amelia tightened her grip on Kunko, “What time period are we in...?”
“You mean you can’t guess!?”
But their conversation was cut off as another large noise interrupted them. Then something emerged from behind some bushes and trees, and the two started to shriek and they sank to the ground.
As a tall figure loomed over the two, a smirk formed on his lips.
“You two are pathetic.”
The two cousins blinked.
“AMMIR!?!” Kunko half screamed in furry. “How dare-” Kunko’s eyes went wide as he saw what this new character, who he seemed to know, had on.
“Oh. My. Ra!” he rolled backwards in laughter, “What the hell are you wearing!?” he managed to cry out.
Ammir frowned, “It happens to be what you’re going to wear if you expect to walk around in public.”
“But- But...” Kunko continued laughing, “YOU in THAT!!!”
Ammir wore peasant’s clothes: sandals & dirty socks, loose ragged looking cloth for a shirt and pants, a rope belt, and an amigasa*.
“Oh shut up,” he grabbed Kunko by a chunk of his long hair and dragged him off. “There’s a small town nearby where we can get you some clothes.”
Kunko was unable to answer as he was currently in pain.
Amelia got the point and followed close behind the two.
“And I’m warning you to be careful in your speaking of Japanese, many words don’t exists in this time, or are different,” Ammir warned, letting go of Kunko’s hair. “Come on.”
“owww...” Kunko whined.
“Ammir?” Amelia questioned, catching up to the two.
“Un?”
“What time period do you think we’re in?”
“Hmm.... I guess... I’d say around the sixteen hundreds?”
“Oh.”
And at that moment they emerged out of the trees, and before them was a small looking peasant town.
