Order was quickly restored to the city. Geoff and Twinsword got
married and had three children; two boys and one girl. The boys were
Michael and Jethro, while the girl was named Tara. Geoff and Twinsword
taught each of them how to use a sword and they were getting quite good at
it.
Some of the dragons went back to their homes, but some of them
stayed. Noonday, Sunrise and Sunset were among them. They had gotten
attached to Geoff and Twinsword, and they were very good with the young
ones.
Michael married Sunrise, even though she was a dragon. They told
everyone that love comes in many shapes and sizes and they loved each other
no matter what their species. They had a boy and they named him Geoff.
Tara and Squire Jethro also got married, much to everyone's surprise.
Michael was overjoyed that he would have one of his better friends as a
brother-in-law, and they were working on their first child. They said that
they would send it to learn sword-play with all of the other children of
their friends.
Noonday never married anyone. He stayed with Geoff and Twinsword,
helping with the children and with everything else that needed doing. He
was like a brother to both Twinsword and Geoff. They all lived happy lives
and always did everything together. Sunset never married either. He, too,
stayed with Geoff and Twinsword.
Jethro and Tara's child was a girl. They named her Vera, much to
Twinsword's annoyance. She didn't particularly like her given name, but
she was friends with the girl anyway.
Everyone lived happy lives until their deaths. They lived in the
company of their best friends, and their children also lead happy lives.
There was never any great threat in the city ever again, and if there was
any trouble at all, Twinsword and Geoff were there to face it down. Their
friends were always within walking distance of each other and never had to
wonder what was happening to the others.
When the happiness finally came to an end, it lived on in the hearts
of the children and the children after their children. All of this
sprouted from a love so great and pure that it still lives on in the hearts
of those who live today.
