This Moment

This moment

  will soon pass,

A forgotten eternity

  on the shore of forever.

A pain forgotten, a failure mocked,

  an important memory lost, a pleasure broken and forgotten.

A picture treasured, a triumph praised,

  a nugget of truth revealed, a misery overcome and erased.

An hour forever.

But these moments lost string together,

  their steps are tricky but form the ladder.

    Not always upwards but always onwards.

On the path to a better

  or worse future,

    this moment

      is gone.
