You stand there,
How did this begin?
My eyes grow weary,
From the days they've looked on,
My mouth is dry,
It longs for you kiss,
My arms are sore,
I've held them high,
Waiting for your embrace,
For your return,
Yet you walk on,
Echoing footsteps,
Tap, tap, tap.
You walk on,
Do not look back,
I stand there,
I look were you once were,
I follow were you once led,
My eyelids drop,
My mouth trembles,
I want to say your name,
My hands clench air,
Where you should be,
But you walk on,
You walk on,
You walk on,
Tap, tap, tap.
You walk on.
