Guilt Trip
~~~~~~~~
Your faith brushed along the surface of the sand
Paying no mind to it, I brushed across time
Repenting those practices that cannot escape
Looking at myself and seeing another corpse
Ripping my soul to shreds from the pain I’ve caused
The unintentional misfortune of a scene
With no second thought keeping me from guilt
The true feeling concealed by the eyes and lips
The sluggish emotion may erase with a little time
But you could always cure me from such a sickness
To throw the blanket over me and dispel my concern
My mind will stay glued to the rotten illness for now...
I wish it were all just a misunderstanding
But this lonesome guilt trip has never stopped short
Remember me not as the pain-bringer with hate
I mean no scathing to your perpetual innocence
Remind me of my failures on another day
Such a calamitous act should return a favor...
