Today was the day,
So I whooped out "Hurray!"
The path was glistening,
And so was the sky.
I was so happy I felt I could fly.
The Faeries played a wonderful tune,
And the frogs danced under the light of the moon.
The Trees told stories of pirates and Gold,
And Phoenixes spoke poems only they could have told.
Suddenly everything silenced and the sky became dark,
And I heard a voice as sweet as a song from a Lark.
The forest washed with a wonderful silver light,
I saw an unearthly figure and thought it may fight.
So I raised up my fists and took a step, then another,
But a Faery grabbed my arm and said, "No, she's our Mother."
So I lowered my fists and looked at this thing,
It was a beautiful human, but it had two silver wings.
When she touched my shoulder and smiled, I knew they were right,
"You, silver Goddess, are my mother and a magnificent sight."
Today was the day,
So I cried out "Hurray!"
The forest was glistening,
And so was the sky.
I was so happy I thought I might cry.
