I Stand Alone
The single ronin meanders down the path
Silent and alone
It is the path that he has chosen
For all his life, he roams
Noble, proud, and honor-bound
His sword always by his side
Wandering across the land
Looking for a fight
He owes no fealty to a lord
And looks out only for himself
It is the life he must live
The hand that he was dealt
The lowly farmer cultivates the land
Tired and alone
It is the path that he has chosen
Watching new life grow
Hardened, proud, and duty-bound
He plows the coarse, brown earth
Planting seeds and watering
His life is nothing but work
He owes no loyalty to any man
Only to Mother Nature
It is the life he must live
The hand that he was dealt
The lone figure wanders down
The path that we call life
Sad and alone, there he roams
Nobody by his side
Reliable, proud, and strength abound
He offers himself to others
Helping, comforting, and consoling
Never putting himself before another
He owes no loyalty to anyone
But gives it freely away
Being the eternal friend
The one that never goes away
It is the life he must live
The hand that he was dealt
Never leaving his loved ones sides
Even if he never finds that someone else
