sweep me away again

(A/N: wrote this after the band concert, during which I felt massively inferior. So many people are better than I am.)

The silver sound

The mercuric melody

Smoothing gliding sweeping me away

Somehow, silence

At my inferiority

At the sound of your greatness

And they say I didn’t

They say I’m good I just

Don’t believe myself

But if they listened

To the silver sound

Mercuric melody

And saw me drowning in it

They’d know

They’d know

My rusted corroded crippled noise

My broken halfway sorrowful song

Enough to make a puddle

Maybe

Somehow, silence

Not in awe

In pity

Somehow, silence

Before the comments flood in

Before the reassurance is wasted

Blinking back tears

And release myself to the sound

Your sound the good sound the

Lightning silver mercury

sweep me away again
