You can hear the hoofbeats pound
As they race across the ground
And the clatter of the wheels
As they spun round and round
He galloped into Market Street
A badge upon his chest
His name was Waldo
And he drove the fastest milkcart in the west
Mothers could always count on him
For all their needs of milk
He had the freshest butter
And his cream was smooth as silk
One day a villain came to town
To steal the milk away
He snatched up all the dairy products
Even the curds and whey
The town was in a tizzy
There was no milk to drink
The kids were getting dizzy
They couldn't even think
The mayor got the sheriff
He said we need some aid
We have to send for Waldo
And then we'll have it made
They sent a message to him
There was no time to play
You can always count on Waldo
To come and save the day
He galloped into Market Street
A badge upon his chest
He caught the evil villain
Who was trying to run out west.
So when you hear the hoofbeats pound
As they race across the ground
You will always know that Waldo
Will always make his rounds.
