Star-Crossed Calamity
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A sweet surrendering to the potency of heart
A reason to live the rest of a man’s days
Hope that drives one to live; hope that thrives
Leaving no blanks for the brain to think
A passion so intimate you melt in their hand
Powerless to such beauty and cravings
Seduced by your vows to their potent soul
Sacrificing the stars to be of their presence...
A feeling you crave...
          An intimacy lost...
                    Visions in your mind...
                               That come with no cost...
The love that fuels...
          The love that burns...
                    A love that leaves one...
                              Who hopes it returns...
With static eyes, he would look upon her face
A picture so perpetual and beautiful to any eye
Wiping the tears that run down her face
Interpreting a tone while sympathizing her fears
With wandering eyes, she would look upon his face
Understanding his will to bleed for her soul
Feeling bemused of her true desires
She lays her head on his truehearted chest
Two bound loves sowed together by fate
Embracing each other and shedding their tears
Protecting one another from the darkest demons
The love one wishes for in a twilight dream
Amongst the midnight blue above the stars
Above the trees those angels would sing
As Cupid would aim with his bow of hearts
The two vow their passion for all of eternity
     Promise your love to the tranquil sky
     The feeling that defeats heartless ignorance
     A blessed rumor grown true from the campfire
     And burns the hatred that plagued us all
     A taste only on the tip of one’s tongue
     Growing alive, in front of your weary eyes
     Now collectively live on the days and nights
     Fight off the detriment with dances of glory
The pain they sustained,
          The love they had felt,
                    Could always collide,
                              When the deck has been dealt,
A dark in the sky,
          A pouring cold rain,
                    Fate is unraveling,
                              To all their disdain...
While those angels would sing to the world
With magnificent wings, high in the sky
Cupid would misfire and strike their hearts
One by one, falling dead to the dormant ground
Murdering the green pigments in the grass
Twisting the air with its own little anguish
Obliterates the love once dreamed of before
Fulfilling the darkness the future portrayed...
Thunder crashes...
A true love, so imaginary it is
Existing only in dreams of intimacy
A day may come where rules grow unbound
But for now the calamity strikes another pair...
Cold skies linger from the fateful night
One lover tattered, torn to the bone
Drags his way forward, looking for faith
Finds her under the grass in a nearby cave
Despoiled, she was; only seconds from death
He rests his lips on hers, to abide the pain
Wipes the tears off her face for one last time
And lays next to her, to live death together
To meet again...
          in the afterlife...
