sun, sun, go away
bring the orange sky with you
your radiance and warmth can't fool me
it isn't a sunny day
(though others think it is as you have blinded their wistful pools with your light)
let the stormy clouds and the angry breeze
take over and fill the sky with gray
make them cry trickles of rain
watch those crystals sparkle and shine
as they wash away your lies
leaving no trace of your sunny day
and don't even think of showing up
with your shimmering curve of hues
mesmerizing, your rainbow may be
it can't fool me
i've had enough of your deception
it isn't a sunny day
nor is it one filled with rainbows
so stop making me long for such
cause i know that the only thing i can get
is rain.
