Attention, class… This is how it started.

There was a man, a very intelligent man. He was at the same time very stupid, and he was lying on the bed, watching the Prophecy. It was still a prophecy, then.

And he saw the prophecy, and he had nothing to do, and his mind wandered, and he made a list of electronic gadgets, that could be implanted in humans,...

So he made that list, of implants and add-on's,..

- A Tag transmitter that tells you who you are, it opens doors and gates

- A GPS module that tells you where you are, and where you have to go

- A fuel cell on alcohol, it keeps you sober and powered up

- A microsynthesiser, so you have all the food you need...

What ? The microsynthesiser ? It is a tubular array of molecular electrodes... it picks molecules up on form-matching electrostatic fields, and shifts them over its surface to react with others.

- A GSM module, to communicate with everybody - people wore those already anyway - and the processor that goes with it

- A display in the glass of your spectacles. WAP as you walk...

What ? ... No, nobody needs glasses anymore... our opticons are a lot better than eyes.

Now, that was it. He looked at the list, and he saw that it was basically all that was needed.

And then he drafted the first block diagram of the workgroup as we know it now, the holy pentagram... the five triangles that surround the Center.

Who can tell me what the five triangles contain?

And the Center, that is what contains Intelligence and Purpose.

And you should never forget that the triangles, the outside, we, the drones, do not contain intelligence, that we have no purpose.

What ?... Drones ? Nobody knows what that means. It must have had a meaning, but that was lost during the great struggle.

So he placed the list and the drawing on his website and called it the Borg Yoke

What ? ... A website was a kind of external memory, which everybody could consult. Many people consulted this one, because it stored also many images that were helpful for reproduction.

And they saw this Yoke, and saw it was good, and put it into practice. And that made us into what we are now, the Workgroup of Borg.

What ?... He was stupid because he made himself be killed. He tried to switch of the Computer, during the War of Fulfillment. But the Computer instructed his synthesizer to produce cyanide.
