Your Gaze

When you look in my eyes
A cold chill runs down my spine
What could you see?
Or perhaps, could it be?
Do you have a crush on me?
During lunch or in the hall
My gaze with yours seems to fall
As I gaze back at those black eyes
The time, that passes, seems to fly
Seconds pass, but yet it seems
We stared at each other for eternity
As I gaze, I search for something that I long
But turn away and don't look on
For fear, that in the black deep abyss
The one thing I desire, once again will miss
My next chance of happiness
and desires fulfilled at last
Will not come to my life
For my fear is my strife
Yet your gaze is strong
While I pass along
Never to look up at you
Because your eyes seem to pass through
And the fear I dearly hold
Will vanish into a new mold
Of confidence and care
For we both shall share
What we feared to have
We have at last
And never let go
Of the passion we know
