Tie Down

Made a mistake

Putting all my faith,

A little courage,

Perhaps some sanity,

Inside a cotton package.

Got my helium balloon.

Got my purple feather weights.

He said “What you doin’?

It’s not tied down right!”

Guess I forgot the tie down.

Keep forgetting tie down.

The package is flying.

Their package’s flying.

Full sky; little eye;

And a storms a comin’

Well, why can’t mine?

I said “Why won’t mine?

It don’t float right Mama.

Look! It won’t float right.”

“Why honey,” she said,

“You just forgot to tie down.”
