Wow, it certainly has been a while! Sorry I made you guys wait, but I didn't have a PC I could write on. Not to mention that this particular story is much farther in the future than I should be writing. I have to finish another before this one even makes complete sense, and I'm NOWHERE near done with the other. Well, enjoy anyways. ^_^;;;

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Hisoka. I'll marry you.

The words are barely thought when I feel as if a strong, cold wind has flowed throughout my body. I blink, and instead of my bed, I'm replaced in a large room adorned with flowers, mostly pink. And instead of my blue pajamas, I'm wearing an elaborate light pink dress. Said dress is strapless and v-shaped, showing off what little cleavage I have. It clung to my skin, but was made of a stretchy material so as not to be uncomfortable. The bottom flared out at least two feet on all sides, with rose quartz designed to make it look as if the skirt of it was made of stained glass, the fabrics held together by quartz being all different shades of light pinks and lavender. Despite the dress being strapless, I still wore two, slightly darker pink muffs just below my shoulders.

My dark teal hair is done in two loose pigtails that hang over my slim shoulders, and my face feels heavy with lash-charcoal and lip-paint. The last adornment, I notice, is three rings on each of my ears. I feel them, they are thin and shaped like circles. 'Hoops' I think they're called in Dasaani, the country of their origin. I wonder what color they are.

"They are silver." Says a soft but masculine voice behind me. I gasp in surprise and turn around.

"Oh, my gods." I mumble.

"Yes, Kyoko. It's me, Hisoka." He smiles. His skin is pale. His hair is semi-long, crimson, and tied back in a ponytail at the nape of his neck. His eyes are black as coal. He has a dark blue gi and hakama on with slightly lighter blue sashes and a white undershirt. Typical Doukojian wedding attire.

Then the third god in as many days appears. She is Sasaki, goddess of femininity, plants and weddings. I really am honored that she will helping with the services. She has light brown skin, curled, sakura pink hair, which is currently held in a ponytail, and magenta eyes. She's wearing a light pink kimono with lavender sashes and light green leaf and metallic gold twig designs all over it. She smiles and beckons Hisoka and I to step forward.

She swishes her hand and a bouquet of red, white and light pink roses appears. She hands them to me.

"I've always loved plants." She explains with a big, bright smile. "Since as long as I can remember." Her grin turns into a melancholy, upward curve of the lip. "Just as," She adds as her husband appears behind us in a surge of flames, "My husband Daro has always been a total pyromaniac."

Daro, the god of fire and masculinity, had a darker skin tone than his wife, but it was still brown. His eyes were dark red-brown and his hair a dark red. His hair was as long as Hisoka's, and done in a ponytail. He seemed very proud of his hair, as he vainly flipped it behind him.

"Are we ready to begin, darling?" He asks Sasaki as he kisses her cheek. Hisoka puts his arm around the slim of my waist as Daro does this, and I imagine the blush on my face doesn't look too well with my dress.

"Of course, dear." Sasaki smiles, taking my right hand. She ties one end of a red cord around my pinky, and gives the other end to her husband to tie around Hisoka. As soon as this is done, the cord disappears.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife." Daro proclaims.

"You may now kiss your spouse." Sasaki finishes.

Oh, dear.

Hisoka leans in, lightly placing his lips on mine. The butterflies in my stomach have now multiplied. I close my eyes and lean into the kiss. I feel as if the breath has been taken from me, and I'm barely conscious long enough to feel myself fall into Hisoka's arms.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I awaken, back in my royal blue bed. I look around, but Hisoka isn't anywhere to be seen. But then again, what was I expecting? That we'd share a bed once we were married? Heaven forbid.

"So."

I jump at the sudden soft voice in the darkness, and lean over to turn on the lamp. It turns on by itself before I have time to reach it. I look back.

I'm familiar with all of my gods and goddesses, and that is how I know that this is not one of them.

She is pale, but not as much as Kym. Her hair has a sporty cut, but looks soft nonetheless, and is pitch black as well. Her eyes are a vivid green, and she wears glasses. She got another pair of glasses, large and round, attached to a short string on her belt. Besides the belt, she wears a white tank top with a long-sleeved, black undershirt and a pair of long, black pants. Her eyes are narrowed. She stares at me hungrily, like a wolf looking at a rabbit.

"Kyoko, correct?" She asks icily, as if she doesn't even care.

"Y-Yes. W-Who are you?" I stammer in fright.

"My name doesn't matter to you, Kyoko." She responds, eyeing me strangely.

I'm a little angry at her rudeness, but too scared to be rude back. Instead I ask, "Why not?"

"Because," She smiles toothily, and in my own opinion, very creepily, "You are about to die."

I cry out in surprise as she throws several beams of dark energy at me. They demolish my bed and the things around me, but an invisible shield protects me from them.

"Damn!" She yells, "So that stupid boy got to you before me, did he?"

"B-Boy? What boy?" I gasp.

But instead of answering my question, she simply glares and says, "The next time you see him, you tell him that if he wants these," She points to the glasses attached to her belt, "He's going to have to kill me for them." She laughs heartily at this, then continues, "And you tell him that he can try and try to his hearts content, but he'll never succeed! THEY WILL NEVER REMEMBER!!" More maniacal laughter ensues, then she disappears in a whirlwind of power.

Not even three seconds pass when a handsome, red-haired man enters my room, worried tears in his dark eyes.

"Kyoko!" He exclaims, rushing over to me and hugging me to his form, "Oh, Kyoko. I'm so glad you're alright." He says, wiping his tears away embarrassedly.

"Hisoka." I inquire, "Who was that?"

"I don't kno-!"

"Don't give me that!" I yell, pushing him away from me, "Stop hiding things from me!"

"Kyoko, I'm not lying!" He replies sternly, "All I know is that she was trying to kill you. But she can't now, thanks to Po. You're safe now."

"Why was she trying to kill me? What could possibly come from that?"

"I don't know, Kyoko. I asked my master, but Kym would not tell me. She simply said that she needed you alive. I don't think she knows. Or, rather, remembers, why."

I shake my head, trying to process it all. I fail, and simply let myself be held by Hisoka. By my husband.
