The moon peeked through the trees as tow men walked through the dense forest. The trees swayed as a night breeze swept through. The taller of the two was wearing a long black coat that fluttered in the breeze. He had spiked blonde hair and clear blue eyes. The other had long black hair that danced across his face and hid his eyes.
“Are you sure?” the one with the long dark hair asked.
“There is only one way to know for sure,” the other replied.
Pathos walked over to the couch where Amicus was.
“How did you get that scar on your back?” she asked.
“My loving brother,” Amicus replied.
“Who was on the phone?” Amicus asked.
“A friend of mine,” she replied.
“A boy friend?” said Amicus.
“That doesn’t concern you,” said Pathos.
She went to get a shirt out of the drawer when Amicus grabbed her arm.
“I think it does,” he said. “If I am going to protect you, I want to know everything.”
“Want?” she said.
He looked at her in a way that Pathos almost went weak at the knees. She really did want to kiss him, but at that moment there was a knock at the door.
Amicus flew right past her and was at the door.
“What are you doing?” she asked Amicus.
Amicus had a knife out and had his hand on the door knob.
“Pathos, I know you are in there,” the person on the other side of the door yelled. And before Amicus knew it the door was open and Pathos was fully dressed and ready for her guest. To Amicus’s surprise it was another girl who resembled Pathos.
“Philo’s what are you doing her. I told you I couldn’t go,” said Pathos.
“Has it ever occurred to, that you have never once said no when I asked you to go out?” she asked.
“Hi,” Amicus said. “I’m,”
But before he could finish Philos interrupted.
“Are you fucking kidding me?”
“It’s so not what you’re thinking,” said Pathos.
