Circles and Triangles

Where my heart rests, the clock stands frozen
Cringing to the anguish that split us apart
A bond of trust that had been broken before
The pain we detested had returned to kill
This place just shudders in the dark cold silence
Clamping us down and twisting our minds
Leaving sanity standing on the edge of a knife
About to crack into pieces on a forgotten floor

And so it begins...
One by one, the pieces are falling,
In the midst of a scene of failure,
Circles and triangles are shattered by lust.
Splitting and cracking...
The pieces are ethereal in shape,
They lose control and helplessly fall,
Dropped by the hand of a broken trust...

The scars are apparent on my fragmented soul
The torch we shared was shoved through my chest
My blood is pierced through its fiery burden
My vision is limited to our glaring weakness
Such an impuissance that has carved our molds
Easily revealed through our inner emotion
The wounds grow deeper through the passing hours
The cold, frigid air has grown too unbearable...

Why do we stand apart when we’re assembled by fate,
Yearning for solace but unnerved by our fears?

Where is the faith we once had to put troubles behind,
The blessed trust we shared for so many years?
How did our lives develop so tenacious and stubborn,
Paying no mind to the moments we’ve missed?
For once could we regain that long lost forgiveness,
Or must I stand alone and let my pain persist?

                     ........

I dream to rekindle these circles...
And to forgather these triangles...
But these wounds are eternal
