Wolf's Run

White-blonde hair trailing in the wind, I ran. My long legs carried me swiftly as I bolted, running away from the people who intend to capture me But they hadn't counted on what was coming next. My long legs grew shorter, my front legs expanded outward, my beautifully shaped nose grew long and thick, my ears shifted back on his head, and I grew short white-blonde fur all along my now powerfully muscled body. I had become the wolf once more. Long sleek legs carried me quickly, faster than any human could run, and they were no match for me.

I notice that the humans run out of breath quickly, but I almost never do. Amused I leap about playfully, tongue lolling lazily, ears flapping. I am the single white wolf and I love it. But deep within my heart I know, I am lonely. As far as I know I am the only one around, and I cant leave to find others. If I leave, they will attack my old friends, and the others. Teachers, acquaintances, even the old orphanage lady and all the children in the orphanage. So I stay.

Off to my left I hear a slight crack. The human part of me wants to bolt, but the wolf creeps forward to investigate. At the moment he's in charge. If I crept up on someone, I would mess it up.

As I approach the orientation of the original sound I smell a female. Not just a female human though. Wolf. As I stop confused, she pounces on me. We roll about, causing a stir among the tiny creatures found one the floor. This is so very confusing. I'm the only wolf around here, and the wolf in me takes offense to this new character. I lunge for her throat and shake her about, and she stops moving. Fearing I've killed her, I put her down gently, when she attacks me again.

Now, this bitch is getting to me. "What are you doing here?" I snarl to her with my wolf snout and tongue slurring my human speech. This causes her to laugh, which causes the wolf to bubble up in my brain and take over. This is one time I just let him. I feel rage taking over my usual laid-back self, and human rational thought stepped over, like so much dirt. Now I'm in the back seat, caught up in the feelings that are overflowing my head, and we howl.

The female is caught off guard, and stumbles over herself in a hurry to get away from me. A cold human-like smile graces my awkward wolf lips and she squeals in terror. Now, honestly, I can't imagine NOT being terrified at a wolf grinning at me, but whatever. My heart rate rises at the thought of a kill, yet, oddly, she seems to be smiling back at me.

"You seem to be adept at speaking the human language, Wolfie, and I like that in a man." she says seductively.

'Not a chance girly,' I think, but my next words play right into her hands, as per my plan.

"As do you, yet have you noticed we are the only of our kind around here?" There it is. The look in her eye tells me she thinks she's got me. My wolf doesn't like playing games, and wants to just finish her off, and he tells me so, fairly forcefully. Now you may think I'm insane for talking about the wolf as if it's another part of me, but he is as different from me as night to day.

Anyway, she walks over to me, all hips wiggling and some crap, and almost laugh, but decide better of it, because that would ruin my plan.
