The Goddesses speak…
Bring forth your wooden cross,
for it is my Sword.
Bring forth your grail cup,
for it is my Chalice.
Bring forth your circle of thorns,
for it is my Crown.
Bring forth your altar candles,
for they are my Light.
Bring forth your communion dish,
for it is my Platter.
Bring forth your righteous scepter,
for it is my Staff.
And bring forth your Messiah,
for he is mine, too.
He has and will come again,
as do you all. But in the meantime
you are searching for salvation
in all the wrong places.
Seek it not in us, pray not for
divine aid to redeem you,
But instead look within yourself,
for that is where the true grace lies,
in the ability to love your fellows,
and treat all with compassion,
in the vigor of spirit, the courage
to have an unfaltering soul,
and in the humble admission of
mortality, and the faith to be reborn.
So bring forth your holy relics,
for we see no disparity.
More important than to whom you
give your faith is the strength of
the faith itself, the devotion and
goodwill meant by it, so long as
you disparage not those who kneel
to symbols you do not see as your own.
For true deliverance comes through
love, not hate, through fellowship,
not differences. It is all one to us;
why should it be not so with you?
For it is through that which you will find
the mark of the divine within yourself.
