It was inexcusable, honestly it was; she was stupid – she knew that. Her mother would tell her that she was a “stupid girl” for ever getting mixed up with Reese, and she hated her mother for it – she especially hated her for the fact that her mom might be right on some level. I mean, the relationship ended – so, that’s one good reason to trust her mother. Her mom told her that it was going to end; and end badly. Cecilia stares at the floor, thinking about last night’s phone conversation with Reese – what a strange predicament, she thinks. She did love Reese… well, she thinks she did… or still does. She doesn’t know what she feels; she’s still just a kid – sixteen years old, and she knows her age is a factor in her indecisive and, overall, innocent nature. She doesn’t know if she’s in love or just in love with the idea of love. Reese fucked her. She still doesn’t know if she liked it or not – not that she didn’t want him to – but she just didn’t know if what she felt was meant to feel that way. Still, she loved the idea that she could please him in such a way. She then thought back to the phone conversation – what happened? How did it get to that point? She couldn’t even fathom the conversations journey to that point; did he still love her? Cecilia looked out the window of the train – trying to get her mind to think of something other than Reese. She couldn’t understand how one individual could be such a pleasant nuisance, and not even mean to be that way. The train passed houses; random places that she passes every day, yet knows nothing about. Familiarity in such a strange, mysterious way.

“So, you do realize that we’re going to the movies, don’t you?” Reese said teasingly to Pia, over the phone. Pia lets out a sigh; they go to the movies every week – sometimes more than that. It does get boring, sometimes. “What’s the matter? Don’t you wanna go?” Reese asked, obviously saddened by her recent disliking to their regular outings. “… yeh, I do; it’s just that… I mean, we go all the time.” “Yeh, but not to see this movie!” Reese said, trying to convince her to sit next to him in that darkened room – sit there and stare at the screen. Look at the flickering images, together. He’s not just asking her to go to the movies with him; he’s asking her to share a beholding of art. Pia didn’t look at it that way, though, and suggested that she have a day out with Belle, while Dirk attends to Reese’s needs. Reese didn’t really want to hang out with Dirk that particular day; too much hassle, blokes are. He decided to hang out with Bianca for the day; they hadn’t had a day alone in quit some time. He thought back to when he first introduced Cecilia to Bianca – they connected instantly; they were able to relate to each other in some strange way. They were able to finish off each others sentences by the end of Cecilia’s first week at school. I remember it used to piss of our teacher, Mr. Marchetta, something chronic… Mr. Marchetta…
