"Hey, I have to get my watch battery replaced, do you guys want to come with me to the mall?"
Jared and I instantly thought of the Gift cards we'd recieved at christmas. "Yeah!"
"Alright, someone want to go wake up Andrew?" Andrew was my older brother, but not by as much as Daniel. I went. I raced upstairs, into his room, knocked on the door, then proceeded to wander in and pick up his guitar. That always woke him up right away.
He flipped in his bed. "PUT IT DOWN." But he was too late. I'd already done so. Now i was playing with the box on his desk. It was a pretty box, I think his girlfriend gave it to him for christmas. "THAT TOO." Now he was sitting up. I put the box down, it looked like it was kind of expensive.
"Daniel's going to take us to the mall, he wants to get his watch fixed. Do you want to come?" He looked thoughtful for a second.
"Sure. Just let me get ready." Of course I waited. It was cold in his room, which meant that he'd delay getting out of the covers as long as possible. So I turned on his keyboard and started playing random notes. "Please leave my stuff alone." Now he was getting ready to stand, so now I turned and left the room. It was really quite simple, as soon as he was getting up, I left him alone. Why nobody could understand the reasonability of this was beyond me. I went back downstairs to wait.
Of course, since there was some time, Daniel went to have a cigarrete in the smoke room. Jared and I decided now would be a good time to get some gaming out of our systems, so we fired up two computers and started to play Half-Life. I loved this game, mostly because I was good at it. I was better than Jared, and Daniel was only a little better than me. I was winning twenty-seven to eighteen when Andrew came downstairs. He was ready, but hadn't had any food. He went off to scavenge for some food, eventually settling on some of the grain cereals. Why on earth anyone would want to eat anything so bland is beyond me. At around half past, he finished, and Daniel told us to shut it down. Mom came and said something about inviting Dad to come, and that was fine. We did, and he decided to come with us. After that Mom decided to come with us too. Andrew was the last downstairs, but the first out the door. He went outside and the dog followed him, so he stopped to play with it a bit before getting into the car. I ran up and started playing with it too. I saw something neat on Andrew's arm, it looked like an elvish rune or something.
"what's that on your arm?"
Andrew stiffened.
"Is that an elvish rune?"
Andrew stood up and moved his arm out of my sight. "no."
"Wait, is it that japanese thing, what you were talking about... warrigu something?" He had a name he made up in japanese. That was probably it. It was cool, I wanted to see it closer, but he was moving away. "Come on, let me see!"
Warm to frozen in a split second. "Leave me alone, okay?"
"Fine." Older brothers were stupid. At least, Andrew was. I don't care what it was anymore, it was stupid anyway. Even though I like the Lord of The Rings, you don't see me writing elvish runes on my arm, it's dumb. He's dumb. I got into the back seat of the van and waited for the others, and Andrew got in the seat in front of me.

A/N: This is based on a true event, but it's probably not obvious what the significance is unless you know me, and know the rest of Andrew's story.
