She saw herself a common being
If not a bit unique.
Relationships, a minimum,
Her pride was at it’s Peak.
She followed her superiors,
Abid by all their laws
With a scarce amount of arguing,
And petty public brawls.
And so they Praised her, though unique,
For questioning them not.
They liked the praise, but nonetheless,
Found some morals long forgot.
One day, a basic mission,
Called her to the battle ground.
She saw her dying victim’s eyes,
And was shocked at what she found.
Unknown feelings stung her heart.
Mental walls began to yield.
It was a sense of right and wrong.
Her evil was revealed.
She couldn’t very well proceed
This slaughter like before.
She made a promise to herself
To end lives never more.
She tried her best to change her race,
But it was all in vain.
They shunned her for her every flaw,
but that wasn’t her true pain.
Awareness stung her every pore.
Self hatred was the cost,
For, a thousand vows of purity
Could not bring back those lost.
She’d thought if she could spread her views,
Slay the wills to kill of some,
Then maybe things would change someday,
She could save some lives to come.
But the masses of society
Changed not for just one voice.
Thought saddened by the time ahead,
She had a single choice.
She lived among the horrid beasts,
Prayed for their victim’s fates,
And for her comrade’s mortal souls,
Until she made it through the gates.
