Here I travel down this path
I know not where it leads
One way to a flowered patch
Another wrought with weeds.

And where to will these end
And from where they begun
Lie in the infinite abyss
From which existence is spun

Behind me flows the past
Every step of which I have tread
And created the many stories
That will never be lived again

And what I see before me
Is shrouded in a veil
So that with the next step
I fear my soul may fail

I do not know where my path will lead
But I know it continues on
Through the light and the dark
To its end I am drawn.

And whether my path is short
Or whether it is long
It is my path alone
And to it I belong.
