Watching

The stars continue their path

An endless choreographed dance

No one escapes unscathed

Under the merciless sky

The planetarium taught me about stars

My father, of the moon

A friend, of their magic

Books about the legends

Night will always be a haven

Hiding, watching, waiting

Sounds much clearer in the dark,

Shadows softer, Light brighter

He wished to watch the stars

I would not let it be

I wished to watch them

He watched with another

A firm believer in something more

May it be extraterrestrial,

Banesidhe, ghost, vampire,

Perhaps just unrealized dreams

When love does find me

I shall not lose my chance

But as the sun sets wait outside

And wish upon a star

Ebon backdrop

Moonwashed Light

Crimson desires

Tattered fright
