Lessons of Morals and Woes
By: Amorina Leigh Carlton
Though a love in grasp,
Leads to happy thoughts,
A love you can't have,
Leads to obsession.
When one loves you back,
Your heart fills with joy,
But you soon feel the slack,
As the unexplored gains attraction.
Though the feelings forbidden,
They pull me in,
To a ride never ridden,
And a place never viewed.
Though your heart is another's
I believe that I see your soul,
And I forget all lessons of mother's,
That she taught me of morals and woes.
So I sit here in my room quietly,
Reflecting on all that you are,
And quickly decide in finality,
To stop all this nonsense inside.
So I run back to the love,
Achievable by me, and
Send dreams of your love
Back to the love you've attained.
