Chapter 10|repitition of life

Beep, Beep, Beep...

It was nine thirty in the morning, and still way too early for him to be in any type of good mood. But, work called. With an annoyed groan, he rolled onto his side, a pale hand reached out from beneath the warm blankets to smack the obnoxious alarm off.
Everyday it was like this, up early, and off to work that didn't pay nearly enough for how long he stayed out, or what he did. Drawing in a deep breath, he opened his eyes and let the breath out with a yawn short to follow. Those eyes were an odd color; almost grey, but a hint of blue. Like a slate blue color. Really, they weren't pretty at all, just dull.
So, why were so many transfixed by them?
He pushed the sheets off himself. The cold apartment air swept over his bare body, causing him to shiver for a moment. He was always cold, but greatly he enjoyed the warmth. One touched him regularly and would think he had been out in a blizzard. But, he was just like that. Cold as the winter, and with reason.
Swimging his legs over the side of the bed, he sat up and stretched his arms up, groaning and shaking himself out. The room was competely dark. All the shades on the windows down, and there was also a reason for that. Part of it being he didn't like the sun blinding him in the morning.
With his dull, boring eyes closed again, he heaved himself up and out of bed and stumbled along to the bathroom. It was the same every morning, same routine. Nothing ever changed, but, it satisfied him. He didn't live large, and never planned to. when he approched the mirror, he squinted his eyes open and looked at his messy self.
Not messy. Ugly.
Scars covered almost every inch of his upper body, painful reminders of his past. Most were on his shoulders and back, some on his arms and chest. They all varied in sizes, but the ugliest of them all started from his left shoulder, and continued on down to his right hip. They should have healed a couple of years ago when...
"When Ray changed me into what I am." He said something, letting his eyes flow down the length f the scar.
Throughout his life he struggled to survive. From the minute he was born, the world was out to get him. Everyday in the orphanage he was beaten or whipped for misbehaving, or by the other kids. Then, he joined a gang withiin that dredful place, and he and the others planned an escape. Only one made it out, the left were left to the whipe of the masters.
Years later, a young, silver haired man came by and adopted him. His name was Zachariah Steelwing. It was a happy life until Zach's husband came home. Molesting and rape took place. But, it only got worse. Zach ende up killing himself, and his husband had to leave again. Color didn't like him. He was sold into slavery. For five years he was a sex toy fora cruel, harsh man, but there was a day when the man left, and Neo madea break for it. Though, during his time there, he and his master had faught with weapons, and and hands. Due to that man, he recieved that huge, ugly scar. One strong swing of the man's katakana was all it took.
After escaping, he took refuge in a wolf pack. The alphess accepted him,and there he lived many yeats, even after findign a town not to far off. He drifted back and forth. That town was a curse. There he met his first girlfriend, Ray, Azrael, Eva, FrostBite, Kat, Ashari, and many others. He suffered relationship failures, fights, loneliness, and death.
It was a rainy day when he had been attached, wounds so deep the bone showed. Somehow, he managed to get back to town and collapse in the tavern. In a desprate attempt to save him, Ray had shared his own life. It was hard to accept that life. He nearly killed himself because he refused to feed. He hated it, and he still did.
Neo let a sigh pass through his lips, stepping towards the shower. He didn't care if he would be late for work. It was getting boring anyways. How could he face Penny there? Would he act as if nothing happen? Or would he make a big deal?
"Who gives a flying fuck?" Spoke the deep voice of his father, leaning on the door frame with a grin.
Neo still wasn't used to his slyness. He had to admit it startled hiim, especially when he was naked.
"Mind giving me a little privacy?" He looked to his father from the corner of his eyes, trying not to fully turn around.
"No, I don't really. Stop thinking so much about what you two did. Nothing will change. 'sides, you're giving me a headache."
"What do you want?"
"You've got a surprise in the parking lot, hurry with your shower." Ryu nodded and turned around, walking away.
His son stared at his back in shock. His wings were out. Those huge, black, demonic wings he'd captured Neo in so long ago. Neo shivered softly and stepped into the shower, turning it on room tempature, which was hot to his kind.
Water dropletts stunf his face as they pounded against it, but he just stood there with a grin.
"Ah, well, it's about time I got a new car. Now this ho drives in style, too."

END.
