Nothing lasts forever,
No flower goes unwithered,
Even with the turning of the wheel of time,
Some friendships are forgotten,
Left behind.

Nothing lasts forever,
Not even you and I,
No one can ever remember,
What lies in a time riddled past,
Not even one that stood by you till his last.

Nothing lasts forever,
We're definitely not spared,
If you look at us now, we're severred,
Torn apart by what we feel,
Never knowing what is real.

Nothing lasts forever,
As much as I would want it to,
You've found love, it's true,
And maybe it's time I fade away,
Maybe it's time I looked up at you and said,
Goodbye.
