“In Between”

By Dark Pegasus

I’m tired of living, but I don’t want to die

I want to live forever and learn how to fly

I’m not exactly happy, but I’m not exactly sad

Life’s not always good, but it’s almost always bad.

I’m caught in between

I cannot decide

To go this way or that

I’m just here for the ride

I want to stay here on earth to see the world end

The gift of life surely is a godsend

I’m caught here, trapped between myself and I

Life is not always fair, so there is no need to cry

I’m caught in between

I cannot decide

To go this way or that

I’m just here for the ride

If I die, I don’t know whether to go to heaven or hell

I might as well go to both, I know them both so well

It’s impossible to go to both; undecided, I’m between

Maybe the sky is not so blue, and the grass isn’t always green.
