“No Longer Myself”

By Dark Pegasus

Tied down by everything you left behind

Loving you, crushing on you no longer makes sense

I can’t turn back the wheels of time

So I have to fall into loneliness forever

Something has taken over me

Is it hope, revenge, love, ambition?

It is becoming so hard for me to breathe

I can no longer express the turmoil inside my mind.

Don’t say I’m crazy, don’t call me fortune’s fool

I no longer captivate you, so why continue to haunt me?

These dark emotions and dreams I used to be able to rule

But I am no longer myself, so it won’t matter anymore

I’m not giving up, not throwing in the towel, not giving in

You don’t love me, so why should I care about you?

Treating others the way you want to be treated is not a sin

So I’ll treat you with the hatred and neglect you gave me.
