I have heard this said.

Yet, it has also been mentioned that the truth doth hurt.

Oh, on what uncertain ground we tread!

A bird is freed from its prison,

Only to have it's fragile wings and feet broken.

So I say, lock me in my happy cage

That is gilded in those lies that are so lightly spoken.
