A/N Hello, please take time to read this story! I have plans to make this as good as I can make it. So PLEASE review!! Thanks so much!! *smiles* **************************************************************************** **********************

First, blackness, then I am walking somewhere. I see a strange symbol, like a bolt of sparkling red lightning outlined in blue. I follow the symbol for a long, long time. "Where are we going?!" I ask the Lightning.

Suddenly the Lightning stops. A door opens, and I see a very bright light inside it. As I get nearer I realize that the room contains a pedestal surrounded by large rocks. I go forward so see what is on it. A small box is there, and I reach for it.

I start to open the lid, I can see the black crack of the inside starting to get bigger.

"KIT!! BREAKFAST!!" I jolt awake as my adoptive mom calls from downstairs. Ugh! Just at the good part. Huh, I seem to remember having that dream before, but I probably didn't.

After I get dressed and do my makeup and hair, I come downstairs where my adoptive parents are both already in the kitchen.

"Morning sweetie." My mom says, kissing the top of my head. My adoptive dad looks up from the paper, and his unshaven mouth smiles at me, and he also says good morning.

My parents adopted me when I was six months old after my parents disappeared. Not much is known about the day they left, but all we know is that my real parents, Lana and Tim Quake, suddenly left, and left ME in a stroller in a park on a beautiful summer day on July 17th.

Two obnoxious old ladies who kept shrieking and telling somebody to call the police found me. Then the police brought me to the orphanage, and when my parents never came back, I was adopted.

But that was a long time ago. Now I'm 14 and my life is extremely boring to me. I get up, go to school, come home, do homework, eat, and go to bed. Repeat as many times as necessary.
