Smile

My heart shatters like glass
I draw in breath slowly
My mind frozen in the moment
You smile and doom me

Grey eyes strive to meet mine
As I quickly turn away
My heart racing; my face stone
There being nothing left to say

Our words have left
We have started the dance
Time to change partners?
Shall I take the chance?

Or do I walk towards my doom?
As once three years before
Is you smile but for friends
Or could it be something more?

Whichever it is I walk towards
Whatever it is that you do
All I know is if you smile
I will again offer my heart to you

A/N: Dedicated to Pat, who affects so much in my life, be he or I know it
or not.
