A Sleep Deprived Love Poem

As I lie here fighting sleep

The time grows ever near

and though I miss you right this moment

I know you’ll soon be here

I know this week has been bad

But please know this to be true

For anything, no matter what

Thick or thin, I’m here for you

Through the good and the bad

When you’re happy, when you’re sad

Here or there, near or far

I’ll be right there where you are

I trust you so completely

Let go of stupid fears

For once and for all

I let myself fall

Releasing past pain and tears

 I smile as I say goodnight

Knowing for sure love will keep

I say I love you and

Good night, sleep tight

As I finally go to sleep
