Alone in a dark world
A life of sorrow is lived
And a name spoken unto the dying air

Sobs of pain are heard
Puffy red eyes are seen
A child cries unto the night

People pass
Not uttering a word
The child is never seen

Alone she is
Alone she shall be
This child of the night
