Cold inside, frozen throughout
Loner, standing by the wall
Hugs and kisses, given freely
I’m the loner, different from the rest
Love and warmth abound

Don’t touch me, please
Don’t push, I’ll fight back
Don’t hold me, I’ll pull away
Don’t be gentle, I won’t break

I stay in my corner, shadowed
They don’t know, can’t tell
Don’t notice when I don’t join in
I feel out of place in this room
Celebrating the holidays

Don’t touch me, please
Don’t push, I’ll fight back
Don’t hold me, I’ll pull away
Don’t be gentle, I won’t break

Ones that hold no meaning
I have my own mind, but they’ll never see
I’ll always be treated as the favorite
Never good enough for them
Pushing, pushing, I’ll never give

Don’t touch me, please
Don’t push, I’ll fight back
Don’t hold me, I’ll pull away
Don’t be gentle, I won’t break

When I think I’ve failed, they assure me I’m wrong
Quick to comfort, quick to judge
I’ve failed them in another way
A way they can never know
I’ll never tell them

Don’t touch me, please
Don’t push, I’ll fight back
Don’t hold me, I’ll pull away
Don’t be gentle, I won’t break

I’ll never tell them I’m ready to let go
Never tell them I’ve fallen
And I don’t care
I’ve fallen, fallen, fallen
Oh no… and I don’t care
