Innocent as the doe’s child
Skin of silver and milk
Cherubic smile stretched across full lips
Eyes that hold stars within
Hair that cascades like water

Sharpened nails trace the angel’s face

Straight from heaven
This child has fallen
Perfect in every way
Love to surround her
Dreams to comfort her

Where is she today?

Missing but not missed
Fading into shadows
Sneer painted firmly
Upon luscious crimson lips
All they could think of

Is what she would be

Amazing talents she possessed
So wrapped up were they
In their own perfect world
None saw her stumble and fall
None saw the tears that leaked

Still they don’t notice

Years later
She still just nods
Yes, mother, I’ll do that
Yes, father, if you wish it
Caged, she’s surrounded

Trapped by dreams that aren’t her own

Eyes outlined in dark charcoal
Hair dyed black, to match her heart
Lips painted crimson, designs inked
Upon darkened skin, Celtic designs
13, black cat, full moon

Is this that same girl?

Hatred, rebellion, she pushes
She won’t do what they say
Stealing, lying, smoking, crying
A broken doll, an old plaything
It’s all grown old

She’d sell her very soul to be free

I have a few things to say. I want to thank Kiddo for her help in editing the poem to get the flow right. You’ve inspired me many times (And given me the privilege of annoying Darrier) You’ve backed me up many times on the Writer’s board and you’ve also given me someone to talk to and hold decent debates with. You’ve inspired me many times, and for this I thank you. You’re also one of the few who is able to control my ego, and for this, I believe the whole Writer’s Chat thanks you.

Camaro, I don’t know where I’d be without you. I first started writing because it was a way to pass the time. After I read Dark Angel, I discovered that I didn’t need to rely on books to take me to far off places, that I didn’t need to use my artwork. You taught me to weave my words into a web, a web that was strong and secure, one that would trap readers. Your stories and you yourself helped many time to overcome writer’s block, and you are an inspiration to me. I respect you, and I love talking to you online. You give me somewhere to go and vent, an actual human who’s been there, and another writer to boot. You also tell me whether or not my poems are cruddy, and when I need an ego boost, you’re there ^_~ Thanks Camaro, words can’t express how much I owe you.

Writers on the NW. Thank you. All of you, even if you’ve only read my work. A lot of you have been very helpful in pointing out rough patches in my work, places that confuse or seem fragmented. A lot of you offer good arguments for me, and I am proud to be associated with you. I wish I could name you all one by one and thank you personally, but I fear that would take pages.

Fellow Offenders. My ‘special’ family. I love you guys, and like the other writers, you’ve been there as well, giving me harsh reviews and standing behind me in a battle. Together, we spit enough acid to drown the n00bs of the board, and what fun times we’ve had.

Proud Pirate(ss). Once again, a great group. Yes, I’m still working on our story and am intent on making all of you regret ever having handed your characters fully over to me. It’s too bad Neo banned our Rum Parties, with the inflatable Jack doll and life-sized ‘sword’. Yes, I know we all miss blowing him. Up, of course.

Alright, I’ll stop the rambling now. Love you guys, hope you enjoyed the poem ^_^
