just leave me be

(I really, really like this one…..review, please!)

just leave me be

in my cozy little shadow of the sea and the moon

not necessarily warm but

very

very familiar

have I seen you before?

your face this place the world in general?

because something’s there beneath the sand

buried deep in a chest that I’ve seen

somewhere

before

maybe in a previous

life

or the lack thereof

but the lack is lovely and

it’s quite nice to be the

best the

brightest the

blue ribbon pedigree

proudly displayed to the world until

hoarding it away to be yours

kept under lock and key and buried beneath

twenty leagues of

sea

tumultuous uproaring taking nothing from anyone

BOLD

not that I am

you see

I’m just saying

but it’s hard to speak your mind

I’m waiting for the right time which hasn’t sailed in

yet

just wait and see

good things come to those who wait

and I’ve been in this line longer than

you

just leave me be

to wallow in my self doubt

to ponder mercilessly on things that could never

be

myself it’s harder than you would think

there’s all those problems constantly picking

away at me until all that’s left is

nothing

here that’s worth waiting for

so just leave me be

in my cozy little shadow

while I ponder mercilessly

on things across the farwide ocean

things that I’ve never seen

things that could never be
